What do you wear in a float tank?
Short answer
We recommend floating without clothing. Each float suite is a private room with its own private shower, so nobody else is present at any point. Swimsuit ties, drawstrings and elastic tend to become a real distraction once everything else has gone quiet.
Why nude is the usual recommendation
In a tank where you can barely feel the water, a seam or a strap becomes the loudest thing in the room. Most people who try both end up preferring to float without anything on.
If you would rather not
You are welcome to wear a swimsuit. Bring one — it is not something we provide.
What to wear to the appointment
Whatever is comfortable. You will be changing in your own suite either way.
Good to know
- If you have long hair, leave it down while you float — tying it up creates tension you will notice.
- Bring flip flops if you would prefer your own for the shower, though shower shoes are provided.
