Everybody knows they would benefit from time away from a screen. Almost nobody manages it reliably, and the reason is not weakness.
Leaving a phone in your pocket and resolving not to check it means making the same decision several hundred times an hour. That is exhausting, and it fails.
A float suite does it structurally. Your phone is in the room, you are in the tank, and for sixty minutes there is simply nothing to check. No decision required, because no option exists.
Not the salt or the darkness specifically — the complete removal of the option to be interrupted. It is remarkably hard to arrange anywhere else.
The relaxation room afterwards has tea, sketch books and colored pencils, and no reason to reach for a screen. It is worth staying for rather than going straight back to it.

If you tried floating once and were unsure, this is the post for you.
A short note on what we will and will not tell you about floating.
